Caroline Cooper

Caroline Cooper works in primary care for Berkshire East Primary Care Trust. Her background in community nursing goes back to 1988, when she qualified and worked as a district nursing sister. Her present role within the PCT is to provide assurance for the trust board that safe systems are in place and operational to ensure safe delivery of complex care in a non-acute setting (including the delivery of chemotherapy agents).

Caroline’s responsibilities include development and delivery of competency-based training for non-acute clinical staff, root-cause analysis of clinical incidents and the development of services to be delivered in a non-acute environment. Her main interest is the provision of high-quality care in the most appropriate setting, delivered by the most appropriate person.
